The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with environmental site assessments, NEPA documentation, and regulatory compliance in a government contracting context. You will work alongside program managers, systems engineers, and government clients to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM standards
  • Prepare NEPA documentation including Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs)
  • Monitor project activities for compliance with Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, and related regulations
  • Coordinate with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies on permits, reviews, and approvals
  • Develop and maintain environmental management plans, spill prevention plans, and stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs)
  • Support remediation planning and oversight for contaminated site investigations
  • Prepare technical reports, correspondence, and briefings for government clients

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in environmental engineering or compliance, preferably on federal projects
  • Familiarity with NEPA, CERCLA, RCRA, and applicable EPA regulations
  • Strong technical writing and reporting skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting FAA, DoD, or other federal agency environmental programs
  • HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
  • GIS proficiency (ArcGIS or equivalent)
