Simulator Test Pilot
EIT Inc. is seeking a Simulator Test Pilot to support flight simulation evaluation and test programs in partnership with the FAA and other government clients. Working at or near the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, you will fly a range of fixed- and rotary-wing flight simulator platforms to evaluate avionics systems, flight procedures, airspace concepts, and human factors under controlled test conditions.

Responsibilities
- Execute structured test plans in FAA-certified and research-grade flight simulation environments
- Evaluate avionics systems, flight management systems, display formats, and crew alerting systems
- Assess human factors and pilot-vehicle interface (PVI) design through scripted and exploratory test scenarios
- Document test observations, anomalies, and qualitative findings in formal test reports
- Collaborate with systems engineers, human factors specialists, and government program offices
- Support development and review of test plans, test procedures, and evaluation criteria
- Participate in design reviews and provide subject matter expertise on pilot workload, procedures, and cockpit integration
Required Qualifications
- FAA ATP certificate or military equivalent (fixed-wing or rotary)
- Minimum 1,500 total flight hours
- Experience operating or evaluating flight simulation devices (FFS, FTD, or AATD)
- Strong written communication skills; ability to produce clear and concise technical reports
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA or military test pilot school graduate
- Experience supporting FAA certification, qualification, or research programs
- Instrument rating and multi-engine experience
- Familiarity with RTCA DO-178C, AC 120-40, or FAA flight simulator qualification standards
- Background in human factors or crew resource management (CRM)
