NAS Integration and Support Group (NISG)

EIT's services range from acquisition management, systems engineering, software engineering, security engineering, test engineering, human factors, training program development, web site development and maintenance, collaborative management system(s) support and maintenance, system/sub-system/component acceptance, and implementation and sustainment.

EIT provides engineering services to define the system architectures, functions, and requirements that will make up the future maintenance systems needed to support the NAS. Currently we are developing these artifacts for the Automated Maintenance Management System (AMMS) project which leverages the information that many field systems collect that are currently unshared. We provide automation strategies, data modeling, and integration efforts to share maintenance information throughout the NAS with a primary purpose of increasing the situation awareness for upper management and decision makers. EIT is also providing supporting on the Maintenance Management Information eXchange Model (MMIXM) which is a data model and exchange service that utilize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) backbone. In summary we provide the engineering rigor that supports the visions and ideas from our FAA customer.

Acceptance Testing Support Services (ATSS)

  • Analysis, Design, Development, and Maintenance of Curriculum that utilizes and incorporates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) based on industry best practices of the latest and emerging training methodologies and technology.
  • Threat Mitigation Engineering and Imaging, which focuses on the development and delivery of technical training on emerging and next generation screening technologies, and the development and delivery of training kits, physical training aids, and specialized materials to enhance the TSA workforce general and technical skill sets and abilities to identify threat items.
  • Program Management, Integration, and Logistics, which focuses on identifying and providing training program office and over-arching program management tools and support to ensure comprehensive reporting, efficiencies, and integration across all task orders, as well as providing timely logistical support.

As a subcontractor to GDIT, EIT provides the Security Training and Integration Analyst (STIA) workforce that provide curriculum development and maintenance support services to the TSA Office of Training and Development.

  • Maintain and update the content of an internet-based Curriculum Graphic Support Library (CGSL) that contains photos and images for curriculum-development purposes
  • Support technology or operational assessments, pilots, and train-the-trainer events with new and/or revised curriculum and technology/screening equipment

The Software and Systems Engineering Services (SSES) contract is a multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract that provides software and systems engineering support to the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command’s (CECOM’s) Software Engineering Center (SEC).

We provide the U.S. Army field, test, data collection and readiness support to Joint National capital Region Enhanced Surveillance Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures Special Project (J-NEST), a Special Project run from NORAD, Peterson AFB, Co. EIT supports analysis of integration between systems being fielded to protect the National Capital Region (NCR) including the Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) and the Stateside Affordable RADAR System (STARS). EIT support is to improve air surveillance, identification, and engagement capabilities for the NORAD community. The introduction of these advanced sensors will provide an additional level of fidelity to the Homeland Defense mission, and provide a disciplined approach to enhance and update cruise missile defense (CMD) tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) required for full combat effectiveness in the NCR.
